Roost App is built to respect your privacy. We do not require an account, a sign-up, or any personal registration to use the app, and your financial inputs never leave your device.
The numbers you enter — such as home price, down payment, interest rate, and the province you select — are stored locally on your device only. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personally identifiable information on external servers, and we cannot see the figures you calculate.
We may collect anonymized, aggregate usage information to understand how the app is used and to improve it — for example, which features are opened, or the general region (such as province) selected for a calculation. This information is not tied to your identity, cannot be used to identify you, and is never sold.
The Rates tab displays approximate mortgage rates sourced from publicly available partner information. Tapping an external link opens your browser, and those websites' own privacy policies will apply to your activity there.
Roost App is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
